Institute for Transport Sciences – Petrol-Powered Vehicle Performance, Fuel Consumption, and Emissions Test
KTI Test Summary
The Institute for Transport Sciences (KTI) is Hungary's leading accredited transportation research institute. Between 2006 and 2007, KTI evaluated the effectiveness of the Green Plus additive on its own Suzuki Swift test vehicle on behalf of the Ministry of Economy and Transport of Hungary. KTI also conducts regular testing programs for Suzuki vehicles.
The Green Plus environmentally friendly liquid combustion catalyst performed exceptionally well during long-term operational testing. Test results obtained using the official UNECE (United Nations Economic Commission for Europe) testing procedures demonstrated that, over time, the use of Green Plus led to improvements in all major engine performance parameters, although results varied depending on driving conditions (urban or highway operation) and duration of use.
The recorded improvements included:
- Acceleration performance: 17% to 26.2%
- Carbon monoxide (CO) emissions: 40% to 78% reduction
- Total hydrocarbons (THC): up to 46% reduction
- Nitrogen oxides (NOx): up to 52% reduction
Significant improvements were observed in all measured categories, and these results were further confirmed by post-test verification measurements conducted after the usage period.
As stated in the KTI Report (March 2007):
“With regard to carbon dioxide emissions, an improvement of approximately 10% was observed. Fuel consumption values calculated on the basis of carbon-equivalent emissions closely followed the trend and extent of the CO₂ reduction, showing an improvement of nearly 10%, primarily under urban driving conditions.”
