Bering Sea Maintenance Report Summary

During the comprehensive testing carried out on both the Unicom tanker and the Bering Sea, the maintenance intervals improved in both cases alongside the improvement of emission values. The maintenance supervision was conducted by Unicom's Chief Technical Superintendent, who demonstrated that Green Plus reduced maintenance costs and improved boiler efficiency by significantly cleaning deposits caused by exhaust gases. Details can be seen below.

Technical Inspection

Comment by Alan Selby, Chief Technical Superintendent of Unicom Ship Management:

“With the soot door fully opened and secured, I was able to closely inspect the internal areas and can confirm that the piston spaces beneath the soot door were in a relatively clean condition, with very little sediment build-up after more than 4,000 operating hours. I was able to certify with complete confidence that this type of engine was in its best condition during the normal service interval.

The same was true for the boiler's finned exhaust tubes, where only very small deposits could be observed, particularly when compared with the previous inspection period. I have attached these observations in support of the photographs shown above.”
