Fuel tests

NEW GREEN PLUS CUSTOMERS

Many people are primarily interested in fuel consumption and how it can be reduced, for example through the use of Green Plus fuel and combustion catalyst components, which are designed to help reduce smog and slow equipment deterioration.

However, fuel savings are only one of the side benefits among more than 500 documented and measured technical, economic, and health-related advantages.

It is difficult to make meaningful comparisons if sufficient attention has not been paid to these factors beforehand.

Our colleagues act as independent external auditors, conducting fuel tests, fuel-consumption tests, and equipment and vehicle performance assessments on your behalf. Fuel and motor oil efficiency is a highly important and fascinating subject, with more than 20,000 different efficiency-enhancing products and technologies available, all claiming to improve previous performance levels in some way.

In our consulting activities, our primary considerations are sustainability and the maintenance and enhancement of technical safety. We exclude any efficiency-enhancing solutions that may cause negative side effects. We separately monitor and test fuel use in furnaces, boilers, generators (stationary equipment), as well as construction machinery and transport vehicles (mobile equipment).

New developments and solutions continue to emerge, but users have increasingly less time available to evaluate, examine, and test them. Most organizations lack the capacity to conduct comprehensive comparisons and analyses. Our testing services are designed to assist in this process.

Did you know that nearly 600 different parameters can influence, interfere with, or alter fuel consumption?

Our testing methods and protocols are designed to meet your expectations. We are capable of monitoring fuel, equipment, and machine operators/vehicle drivers in real time under actual working conditions while applying laboratory-level rigor, methodologies, and instrumentation. We personally supervise, evaluate, and analyze the results.

Our testing protocols, such as the BPTP and BP2010 testing procedures, often exceed the level of detail found in accredited testing programs.

Our experience shows that virtually all promoted fuel additives, performance enhancers, and fuel-saving products or technologies provide some level of effectiveness. However, there are significant differences in their performance, which become even more apparent under varying operating and load conditions. Such testing can reveal not only the degree of improvement achieved but also any potential adverse side effects.

We have also encountered many cases where organizations lacked sufficient monitoring capabilities, personnel, or equipment to accurately assess real-world results. In other situations, substantial improvements can be achieved through additional training, coaching, and education, services that we are also pleased to provide.

Our training and testing services are competitively priced. Clients can continuously monitor results in real time and review them at any point after testing has been completed.

You may request testing of virtually any product, including independent verification of the performance effects of the Biofriendly Green Plus® environmentally friendly liquid combustion catalyst.

Fuel tests

The Key Is the Supervisor and the Methodology. We conduct energy audits of fuel usage and perform specific tests. Various testing methods can be downloaded from the Internet, and many are used in practice. The essence of testing is the comparison of identical parameters and conditions at the same time and/or under the same load conditions.

Naturally, factors affecting fuel consumption often change during testing. We have correction indices and multipliers for these variables, but since managers may view these as "black magic," we strive to reduce the number of variables and influencing factors through careful preparation before testing begins, achieving an "apples-to-apples" comparison for measurement purposes.

We cooperate with numerous certified and accredited laboratories, testing stations, and dynamometer workshops, allowing us to provide a wide range of testing services tailored to the client's needs and budget. We recommend the BP2010, SAE J1321, or the WLTP measurement methodology introduced after 2015. Each of these methods minimizes the possibility of software manipulation to varying degrees and is capable of demonstrating real operational engine performance. We cooperate with fuel protection, monitoring, fuel-consumption management, development, and distribution companies, including IDATA–ITRACK, SkyGuard, ICELL, driver-training specialists, and other corporate partners.

Pricing

Our prices include fairness-based adjustments. If certain costs are unnecessary (such as measuring instruments, travel expenses, transportation, installation costs, photos and videos, auditor reports, accommodation, meals, daily allowances, etc.), those amounts are deducted from the final invoice.

A management-level assessment acceptable for corporate decision-making starts at HUF 300,000 + VAT per vehicle, depending on engine displacement and the duration required for a measurable trend to emerge.

Expert Test with Smoke Measurement HUF 400,000 + VAT Results within 1–3 days

The most economical on-site version measures changes in fuel consumption using laboratory methodologies based on exhaust-gas components and emissions data. It calculates fuel-consumption changes from the amount of unburned fuel emitted through the exhaust (smoke mass), using 3 sessions of 8–10 hours of smoke measurement. Since at least 20–30 smoke measurements are taken per session (before and after additive application), under controlled conditions, the possibility of manipulation is eliminated. Requirements: One vehicle, preferably EURO 0 to EURO 4. Full-day measurement. Dry weather conditions.

The price includes: A reserve day in case of weather interruption. Travel and installation. 3 × 10 hours of supervision. Audit report preparation. Green Plus additive costs.

Testing of EURO 5 to EURO 7 vehicles is also possible at custom pricing. However, we generally do not recommend such measurements unless an additional diagnostic black-box system (3B) is installed. Standard FMS and CAN-BUS signals can potentially be modified by engine manufacturers afterward, resulting in altered measurement data. A geotagged and timestamped 3B diagnostic system is therefore recommended for obtaining tamper-proof, verifiable data.

General Load and Fuel-Consumption Assessment EUR 1,000 + VAT per unit. Includes: Three days of testing. Up to 10 hours of smoke measurement per day. Conducted at the client's location.

Internal Corporate Black-Box Monitoring, Starting from HUF 1,125,000 + VAT Includes: 2–6 months of data collection and analysis.

For one heavy-duty vehicle or two smaller vehicles (EURO 0–EURO 7), assuming fuel priced at HUF 600/liter: 15,000 liters of fuel = HUF 9 million. Green Plus treatment cost = approximately HUF 675,000 + VAT (HUF 45/liter + VAT). Basic GPS trackers costing only a few tens of thousands of forints are not suitable for diagnostics, data storage, or performance comparisons. Although lower-cost diagnostic systems exist, they typically rely on CAN-BUS and FMS data, which can be altered after recording.

For accurate and tamper-proof determination of fuel-consumption quantities and causal factors, installation of a 3B diagnostic black-box system is strongly recommended. The system can be customized according to client requirements. Typical cost: HUF 450,000–500,000 + VAT per unit. Plus travel, accommodation, installation, and calibration. Fuel-protection functions may also be included. For multiple installations, costs decrease because installation personnel can be trained, leaving only equipment costs for subsequent vehicles. Monthly operating costs: Approximately HUF 10,000/month for SIM-based data transmission and storage. Installation of capacitive fuel-level sensors requires knowledge of: Fuel tank size. Fuel tank shape. Vehicle identification number (VIN). Vehicle type.

The system records engine load signals and automatically converts fuel measurements to the standard reference temperature of 15°C.

Fuel additive dosing should also be automated to ensure that the additive is consistently introduced into the fuel during long-term testing.

GreenBOT and Smart Dosing Systems The 3B Business Black Box diagnostic system can easily be integrated with a precision automatic dosing system. Additional cost: Approximately HUF 1.2 million. GreenBOT Green Plus Automatic Dosing Station Suitable for: Fuel-storage facilities. Diesel stations. Gasoline stations. Industrial facilities. Logistics centers. Shopping-center parking facilities. Price range: From approximately HUF 2.5 million + VAT. Up to approximately HUF 4 million + VAT depending on configuration and security requirements. All installed systems may qualify for tax depreciation and can often be included in grant-funded projects. A GreenBOT installed at the fuel-storage tank combined with a vehicle-mounted SDG+ Smart Dispenser of Green Plus enables monitoring of the fuel's entire lifecycle—from delivery into bulk storage to final combustion and exhaust emissions. It allows verification of:

What fuel was dispensed. Whether the fuel met standards. When and how it was used. Under what load conditions it was consumed. Instead of installing a smart dosing and diagnostic system, smoke measurement can be used to verify additive usage and resulting changes in fuel consumption. However, if the additive is not used consistently, expected improvements may be delayed.

BP2010 Highway Test Protocol with Smoke Measurement

HUF 1.2 million + VAT Results within 1–3 days BPTP – Bíró Péter Test Protocol (BP2010 Method)

Testing is conducted on highways using consistent fueling procedures: Refueling every 100–120 km. The same fuel nozzle. The same fueling position relative to the fuel island. Consistent vehicle positioning to maintain identical tilt angles. Atmospheric and fuel temperatures are monitored during refueling and included among approximately 60 measured factors. Testing is performed within a 20–50 km operating radius under the most uniform weather conditions possible. Standardized acceleration and deceleration points simulate real-world engine loads. Procedure: First 100–200 km: baseline fuel-consumption measurement. Subsequent laps: Green Plus-treated fuel or other additives if requested. A positive trend typically becomes visible within 1,000 km. Approximately 60 influencing factors are monitored, recorded, photographed, and videotaped.

The price includes: Travel. Installation. Smoke measurement. Supervision. Audit documentation. Accommodation. It does not include: Fuel costs. Highway tolls. A second comparison vehicle may optionally follow the same route without Green Plus treatment for double-comparison purposes.

Alternative test venues: Racing circuits (~HUF 1.7 million + VAT/day). ZalaZONE test track: EUR 1,200 + VAT per 8 hours (EUR 150/hour + VAT). Climate chamber testing available if fuel-temperature conditioning is required.

Efficiency Improvement Validation Using the client's own equipment, operator, and working conditions. Pricing: EUR 2,500 + VAT/day. EUR 3,000 + VAT for 1–3-day testing, depending on weather. Testing options: Highway testing: EUR 3,000 + VAT. Real operating conditions on public roads and work sites: EUR 4,000 + VAT. The price covers up to three days for one vehicle. If a positive trend is demonstrated within a single day, the fee is reduced by EUR 1,000 + VAT. The client must provide a backup vehicle or machine to avoid wasted deployment costs if unexpected issues arise. An internal audit report is prepared, including: Vehicle diagnostics. Driver-performance diagnostics. Monitoring of approximately 60 influencing factors. If the test is performed using the Biofriendly Green Plus® additive, pricing is more favorable because continuous use of the additive is a condition of the agreement, allowing audit costs to be incorporated into the supplier pricing structure.

Long-Distance Highway Testing by External Auditor and Supervisor Starting from HUF 1.5 million + VAT Requirements: Two vehicles. 4 + 4 days (approximately two weeks). Results available within: 2–6 months. Procedure: Day 1–2: weighing, environmental conditioning, fueling. Day 3: 500 km route. Day 4: weighing, conditioning, refueling. The first 500 km loop establishes the baseline. The vehicles travel together: One receives Green Plus treatment. The other remains untreated. Subsequent rounds can switch treatments according to client requirements. Accredited Laboratory Testing

Starting from EUR 20,000 + VAT per vehicle - Up to EUR 100,000 + VAT per vehicle. Pricing depends on: Location. UN testing requirements. EU testing requirements. Result time: Six months to three years. For example, a six-vehicle DEKRA test conducted in 2025 reportedly approached EUR 1 million.

Eco-Drive Consulting and Driver Efficiency Training EUR 60 + VAT per hour per participant. Further information is available under:
